Usage Guidelines

This clock is an indoor clock. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or rain.

Do not use the clock in rooms with high humidity such as bathrooms.

Do not use the clocks in areas exposed to strong magnetism, extreme temperatures, strong direct light, chemical fumes or high vibration. This may impact the appearance and functioning of the clock or the life of the battery.

There are no serviceable components in this clock. Do not take the clock apart for any reason.

Start Operation

To start the clock insert the battery into the battery compartment (1) with the (-) and (+) sides aligned as indicated

Set Time

To adjust the time, rotate the adjuster wheel (2) in either direction till the hour hand and minute hand aligns to the correct time.

Battery Replacement

If clock sows down or stops it indicates low battery. In such cases replace the battery immediately. Do not leave a low or dead battery in the clock. Replace the old battery with a new AA battery. Alkaline battery is recommended. Zinc batteries can also be used. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Cleaning

Clean with a soft cloth. Do not use any solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.

Temperature and Humidity

Wall clock has two analog sensors that measure surrounding temperature and relative humidity (RH). Relative humidity is the amount of water vapor present in air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature. The temperature information is displayed in degree Celsius, and humidity is displayed as a percentage.

Thermometer & Hygrometer

Temperature and humidity measurement works automatically by head sensing coil spring elements.

Battery is not required for these features to work. The display is pre-calibrated and no calibration is required to start using the clock. When exposed to sudden changes in temperature or humidity, it may take a few minutes for the correct information to be displayed.

Get Started

Insert one AAA alkaline battery with (+) and (-) sides aligned as indicated in the battery compartment to start the LCD. This is in addition to the AA battery required for the Analog Clock.

Clock setting operations

  • The setting of parameters is in the following sequence:
  • Year => Month => Date => Hours => Minutes => Seconds. The selected parameter will blink indicating readiness for adjustment. Press UP button to adjust the parameter up. Press DOWN button to adjust the parameter down. When you have selected the right value parameter, press the SET button once for confirmation.
  • To set the clock, press and hold SET button (for about 3 seconds) to enable time setting mode.
  • When the year digits start blinking, press UP/DOWN to adjust; the range is 2000-2099 (LCD screen shows 2002 as default). When you have adjusted it to the desired year, press SET button once for confirmation and to move to adjustment.
  • When the month digits start blinking, press UP/DOWN to adjust; the range is (0-12). When you have adjusted it to the desired month, press SET button once for confirmation and to move to date adjustment.
  • When the date digits start blinking, press UP/DOWN to adjust; the range is (01-31). When you have adjusted it to the desired date, press SET button once for confirmation and to move to hour adjustment.
  • When the hour digits start blinking, press UP/DOWN to adjust; the range is (01-12). The hour displayed is in AM by default. To set hour in PM, keep pressing DOWN button after 12 and the display will show PM. When you have adjusted it to the desired hour, press SET button once for confirmation to move to minute adjustment.
  • When the minute digits start blinking, press UP/DOWN to adjust; the range is (00-59). When you have adjusted it to the desired minute, press the SET button once for confirmation and move to seconds adjustment.
  • When the seconds digits start blinking, press UP/DOWN to adjust; the range is (00-59). When you have adjusted it to the desired second, press the SET button once for conrmation and complete the time setting.
  • Day of week will be set automatically.
  • Press DOWN button once to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius (°F/°C).
  • In time setting mode, if no button is pressed within 60 seconds after a parameter is selected, the unit will automatically go to original clock time.

Unpacking

Carefully unpack all the components.

Batteries

This clock requires 4 AA batteries. These should be replaced at least every 12 months or when the pendulum or chimes stop working correctly.

Chime

This timepiece plays a Westminster chime melody on the hour and has an automatic shut-off. The clock does not chime between 10:00 p.m and 6:00 a.m. To ensure that your clock functions correctly, please follow the time and chime setting precisely. The clock will chime during the day and will automatically turn off at night.

  1. Pull pendulum holder upwards on the back panel.
  2. BEFORE inserting the batteries, set the clock to 5:50 AM.
  3. Insert 1 AA battery into the clock battery chamber according to the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols.
  4. Insert 1 AA battery into the pendulum battery compartment according to the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols.
  5. Insert 2 AA batteries into the chime battery chamber according to the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols. Make sure the batteries are secure in the holder. The clock will chime automatically 6 times.
  6. Now turn hands (using the knob) slowly to the present hour (in a clockwise direction). Remember that the clock started at 6:05 in the morning. If setting at night, for example to 9:20 p.m., the hands should be turned thus: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and then 9:20. The last strike you will hear will be 9 times.

Note: When moving hands to the present time the clock will begin chiming. Do not be concerned about this. The last strike you hear after setting the clock at the appointed time will be the correct one.

  1. When replacing the batteries, remember that all the above must be repeated from point one, and the clock must be started again at 5:50 a.m. Therefore, please keep these instructions as a reminder. By the time the batteries should be replaced, you may have forgotten how to set the clock.
  2. To operate without the chimes, remove the two batteries from the chime battery chamber.
  3. Never turn clock hands counter clockwise as it will interrupt the chime sequence and damage the clock.

Note: When batteries are low, the chimes will not remain coordinated with the time on the clock. When this happens, replace with new batteries and reset the clock as listed above.

Setting The Pendulum

  1. For transport security, the small black plastic pendulum (B) may be attached to the case to prevent it from swinging.
  2. At (D) using thumb pressure, push towards your right to release the pendulum and allow it to swing freely.
  3. Attach main pendulum to black pendulum holder. The bright side of the pendulum bob faces the front of the clock.
  4. Give main pendulum a push sideways to get it swinging.

Trouble Shooting

Volume control

The volume of the chime can be modified by turning the Volume Control knob.

Getting Started

  1. Unlock the pendulum holder from its shipping position by gently sliding the pendulum out of its holder and to the right until it hangs freely.
  2. Hook the pendulum bob (E) on to the pendulum holder (B).
  3. Insert one new battery 1.5 V AA in each of the two battery compartments, polarity as illustrated.
  4. Set the actual time by turning the setting knob (A) at the back.
  5. With the built-in hanging slot you can fix the pendulum clock with nail or solid screw and dowel on a wall.
  6. Gently nudge the pendulum to start it swinging.

Attention: if the pendulum won't swing or swings irregularly, please check if your pendulum clock hangs vertically. If necessary use water level.

Trouble Shooting

Problem

Clock hands do not move
  1. Change the battery in the upper compartment
  2. Ensure battery polarity is correct.
No movement of the pendulum
  1. Place the clock in upright position
  2. Change the battery in the lower compartment
  3. Ensure battery polarity is correct.
Incorrect indication

Function

Clock with backlight, light & voice controlled

Instruction

  1. Time setting
    1. Insert one AA battery (Alkaline batteries are recommended) into the battery compartment. Be sure to align the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols on both the battery and the battery compartment.
    2. Rotate the knob on the back of the movement case to set the time.
  2. Light controlled & Voice controlled
    1. Insert four AA battery (Alkaline batteries are recommended) into the battery compartment. Be sure to align the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols on both the battery and the battery compartment.
    2. There are three buttons “AUTO, ON, OFF” near movement
    3. When the switch is in AUTO, it is in light control and sound control mode. When the surrounding is dark and there is sound, the backlight will automatically turn on, lasting about 45 seconds, and then the backlight will turn off
    4. When the switch is in ON, it is in light control mode, the backlight is always on in the dark environment.
      This mode consumes a lot of power. Therefore, if you want to choose this mode, the product is best connected to the power supply.
      There is a power interface hidden below the switch gear, using a 5V 500MA adapter (not included)
    5. When the switch is OFF, it turns off the light control and sound control mode, and the backlight will be off.

Important

  1. The hour and minute hands, and the second hand of the clock are driven by different modules. Their movement is not linked with each other.
  2. The hour and minute hands will move normally even if there is no battery in the second hand battery compartment.

Setting the Time

Start Operation

To start the clock, insert the battery into the battery compartments with the (-) and (+) sides aligned as indicated.

Set Time

To adjust the time, rotate the adjuster wheel in either direction till the hour hand and minute hand aligns to the correct time.

To Adjust Seconds

Remove the battery in the second hand battery compartment to stop the second hand at 12 o'clock position. Replace the battery at a time signal to restart the second hand on the correct second.

Getting Started

  1. Insert one button battery with the "+" side at the top and the "-" side aligned to the bottom, as shown in the picture, in the battery compartment.

  2. This is a memory cell that is used to store data when the power goes off.

  • Please note that this item is powered by adapter only. The built-in CR2032 battery is for time memory feature only and is not a power source.
Power supply: DC 5V
USB power cord: 1.5 meters
  • Locate the power input port on the back of the digital wall clock . Take the provided power adapter and insert the DC connector into the power input port on the wall clock. Ensure that it is inserted securely to establish a proper connection.
  • Once the adapter is plugged into the wall clock, connect the AC plug of the adapter to a suitable power source, such as a wall outlet or power strip.
  • Ensure that the power source voltage matches the input voltage requirements of the adapter. Use only the provided adapter or a compatible replacement to avoid damage to the wall clock.
  • After connecting the adapter and ensuring all connections are secure, the power can be turned on.
  • The clock display should light up, indicating that it is receiving power from the adapter. If the display does not light up, double-check the adapter connections and power source.
  • To disconnect the adapter from the wall clock, first, turn off the clock using the power button or switch.
  • Unplug the AC plug of the adapter from the power source, and then remove the DC connector from the power input port on the wall clock.

Note: Always handle the adapter and power cord carefully to avoid damage to the cables or connectors. Do not attempt to modify or repair the adapter yourself; consult a qualified technician if needed.

Clock Time Setting Operations

I. Clock Functions

  3. Light intensity decreases from 10pm to 6:59am next day.

Year=> Month=> Date=> Time format =>Hours=> Minutes. The selected parameter will blink indicating readiness for adjustment.

II. Instructions

1.   Button name

  • A: Setting button; transferring button
  • B: Increasing button
  • C: Decreasing button

2.   Time setting

  • When the time display is normal, press button "A" to set the time and you will find "Year" blink. Then press button "B"or"C" to adjust the year.
  • After finishing setting year, press button "A" again, you will find "Month" blink and repress button "B"or"C" to adjust the month.
  • Finish month setting, press button "A" to get the date setting, press button "B"or"C" to adjust the date.
  • Follow this step, to set 12/24 system, Hour, Minute in turn.
  • In the process of setting, you can press "A" to quit time setting function. And the time have been set is valid.

3.   When the time display is normal, press "B" to select "24" or "12" display mode.

III.   Temperature

  1. Temperature display range: -20°C to -50°C, out of range display LL/HH.
  2. Temperature detection range: 30 seconds.
  3. Temperature resolution: 1°C.
  4. Temperature accuracy: ±2°C.

Mounting Way

This LED clock is not only a wall clock, but also a table/desk clock. For hanging mode, a hanging hole at the back side helps to hang on the wall easily. For standing mode, two support stands included with the clock allows it to stay in a stable way on a table/desk.
