Vetra is Titan's in-house mechanical movement brand and the mechanical foundation of the Signature Automatics collection. It brings together movement engineering, contemporary design and purposeful mechanical functions, built on more than a decade of mechanical movement capability in India.
Vetra draws together two ideas. Veda reflects an understanding of time as abundant, cyclical and eternally renewing. Tra is an instrument that channels force into tangible form. Together they shape Titan's interpretation of time through mechanical watchmaking.
It is Titan's design philosophy: beautiful watches powered by complex engineering. Infinium's 72-hour power reserve is the clearest example — it is integrated into the dial without visual clutter, so the achievement shows up as clarity rather than complexity.
The first collection powered by Vetra. Four edits — Infinium, Dualis, Midnite and Atrium — each using the unified 7A movement architecture to explore a different mechanical function and design interpretation.
Infinium: Calibre 7A20+, a 72-hour power reserve, a 40mm architectural case with a domed sapphire crystal and a pressed diamond guilloché dial. Dualis: Calibre 7A37, a GMT dual-time complication in a stainless steel case. Midnite: Calibre 7A77, an instantaneous dual-disc big date in a bi-metal case with faceted hands. Atrium: an offset seconds display in a 42mm rose gold profile, with an open-heart aperture on the hero variant.
A single movement architecture underpinning all four edits. It gives the collection a common mechanical foundation while supporting different functions — a 72-hour power reserve, GMT, Big Date and offset seconds — so the range stays coherent while each watch does something different.
Vetra is developed through Titan's in-house capabilities spanning movement architecture, design and engineering, R&D, prototyping, precision component manufacturing, assembly, testing and finishing, at Titan's Hosur facility.
More than a decade. The journey began in the early 2010s with investments in specialised technology, technical know-how and machinery, and has since grown across the full mechanical watchmaking value chain.
That the movement shapes the watch rather than being fitted into it. Engineering, manufacturing and design decisions are taken together during development, so the mechanical capability inside determines the form outside.
Wound fully, Infinium runs for a full weekend. Set it down on Friday evening and it is still keeping time on Monday morning, with nothing to reset.
