The idea of venturing into the watch industry becomes a reality in June 1984. Titan is established as a joint venture between Tata Industries and TIDCO, marking the beginning of an iconic journey.
The first set of watch prototypes are reviewed and shortlisted by Mr. Xerxes Desai, Mr. Anil Gore, and Mr. Anil Manchandana.
The first print advertisement is created by Ogilvy and Mather, showcasing a catalog of beautiful watches. Customers would walk into stores with cutouts of the ad.
