Titan Industries Ltd wins 3 awards at the ET Retail Awards 2011

Titan Industries Ltd won a total of 3 awards at the ET retail wards which was held in Mumbai on the 18th of January 2012. The presence of behemoths such as Chief Guest Mr. Gautam Singhania, Chairman & MD Raymond Limited, Mr. B. S. Nagesh , Founder TRRAIN: Chairman RAI and Vice Chairman Shoppers Stop Ltd., Mr Bijou Kurien, President & Chief Executive Reliance Retail Ltd, and Mr Raj Jain, President , Walmart India and  MD & CEO, Bharti Walmart Pvt Ltd, ensured that the ET Retail Awards 2011,  organised by the Economic Times in association with Retailers Association of India (RAI) was a glittering event for the Indian Retail Sector.

Titan industries won 2 awards in the ten-jury based , performance led categories. The first award was for “Excellence in Employee Practices” while the second was won by Brand Tanishq for the  “Innovative Operating Idea of the Year”.

In the most eagerly awaited recognitions of the evening,  Mr. Bhaskar Bhat, MD Titan Industries Limited  was awarded the “ET Retail Personality of the Year” . Bhaskar was honoured as an individual under whose leadership the organisation evolved from a watch company to a diversified player in the lifestyle space, expanding to product categories such as jewellery, accessories and eye-wear. Each of these categories is successfully adding further adjacencies.  Today Titan is among the biggest retail companies in India by market capitalisation.
